How the Landowner Conservation Program Explorer Helps

The definitions vary, but we've defined a landowner program as a voluntary program that a landowner (or sometimes a producer) can directly access and benefit from. Within our landowner conservation program explorer (LCPE), we have collected dozens of programs that provide financial, technical assistance, or marketing/recognition benefits on agricultural and forested lands.

Programs included in the LCPE include programs from the following organizations:

  • Conservation Districts

  • County governments

  • Departments of Natural Resources (DNR)

  • Departments of Fish and Wildlife (DFW)

  • Farm Service Agency (FSA)

  • Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

  • State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO)

  • US Forest Service

  • US Fish and Wildlife Serivice (USFWS)
  • + More

Enrolling in voluntary landowner programs is not for every landowner. We always recommend consulting with the professionals available that are available to every landowner. Find organizations in your area.

The Tool's Geography

Map of CCLC region - reveal counties somehow.

Ideally, this is a StoryMap showing the four subregions and talking a little bit about CCLC. Short term, maybe it is just a map outlining the CCLC regions and which counties are included in list form on the right.

The land included in the landowner discovery tool matches the Cascades to Coast Landscape Collaborative's (CCLC) service area.
