Improve forest structure and composition on non-industrial forestland.

Overview

Description:

This strategy will help private non-industrial forest landowners reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire on their forestland, using treatments that reduce existing surface and ladder fuels, improve structure and composition, and increase overall forest health. Lower priority will be given to private non-industrial forestland outside of the project boundaries. Through the forest plan and contract ranking process, higher priority will be given to projects that are adjacent to other planned or completed fuel treatments and/or have proximity to strategic roads identified by partners.

Eligibility:

Must be a private landowner. Ranking questions on the Oregon EQIP page will be used to see where the project is ranked against others.

Financial benefit:

Financial benefit varies per project. Please contact the listed program contact below for more information.
