Overview

Description:

In Stevens County we are fortunate to live in an area surrounded by trees, nature, and the great outdoors. While Stevens County forests are fairly adapted to fire; with a growing number of people recreating and living in forested areas, we have an increasing risk of wildfire. It is important that landowners and local residents take steps to prevent severe wildfire damage to our homes, forests, farms, property, and communities.

The Stevens County Conservation District, in partnership with the Wildfire Ready Neighbors program is offering free Home/Site Visits to Stevens County residents. During this visit, a Conservation District staff member will visit your property to discuss practical ways to lessen your wildfire risk. Information and tips are for your knowledge and YOUR USE ONLY.

We do not share your information with insurance companies or other regulatory (law-enforcing) entities.

We’ve compiled a list of resources on our website to help landowners prepare for wildfire, assess their risk, and recover their land from wildfire.

For more information, or if you would like to speak with someone about fire prevention, preparedness, or recovery, please contact our office.
