Description:

Lincoln and Adams counties together make up the West Palouse Local Work Group. This is a group of natural resource conservation agencies, organizations, and landowners who determine the area’s resource concerns.

The purpose of this group is to determine the priority level of various resource concerns for organizations and agencies in our area. Grants and cost share money that the District applies for are based on the concerns of landowners. For example, if erosion is a top priority concern, the District and other agencies will bring programs to the county so landowners have the opportunity to mitigate the erosion problem.
