Cost-share funding for weed control

Overview

Description:

The Stevens County Noxious Weed Control Board may offer cost share in one form or another on selected noxious weeds as resources allow. Weeds selected for cost share are chosen primarily on how limited a weed population is in the county. Class A weeds are, by definition, extremely limited and are listed as mandatory eradication by the State Weed Board. We will always give Class A weeds priority for cost share programs. In addition, the Weed Board may offer limited cost share on certain Class B weeds that are listed for control. The earlier in the season you contact us, the more likely it is we will be able to schedule the necessary work and the more likely we will still have the resources to do it.

See website for a the priority list of noxious weeds.

Eligibility:

You must have an infestation of one of the weeds on the list. If you're unsure, please contact the Weed Board for assistance.

Financial benefit:

Funding varies on the budget available and the amount of weeds present. There is more funding earlier in the season.
