Overview

Description:

King Conservation District (KCD) empowers rural property managers by offering financial resources to be better stewards of their land. KCD’s Cost-Share Program provides reimbursement on 50% to 90% of the total cost of Landowner expenses associated with pre-approved conservation practices, including Waste Storage Facilities, Heavy Use Areas, Cover Crops, Roof Runoff Structures, Sub-Surface Drains, and Buffer Fences. Cost-share ratios vary by conservation practice.

How to Apply:
Applications are accepted year-round. To apply, a cooperator must be already working with a KCD Staff Member To request assistance, please fill out the Agricultural/Farm Technical Assistance form on KCD’s web site. Once a Staff Member Reaches out to you, they will guide you through planning and applying for your cost share project.

Eligibility:

The project site must be located within KCD’s service area which encompasses all of King County and excludes parcels inside the city limits of Enumclaw, Milton, Federal Way, Skykomish and Pacific.
This program does not cost-share on best management practice implementation on publicly owned land.
If you are leasing on private property, the landowner must co-sign the terms of the agreement on the contract.
