Free firewood program for people affected by the Holiday Farm Fire and the local community.

Overview

Description:

This program fills an unmet need in the community through assistance with home heating. We recognize that many McKenzie River residents lost outbuildings, woodsheds, firewood, and equipment in the fire, and cannot gather firewood at this time. Since December, PWP contractors have been hauling non-merchantable logs to a staging area in Suulutaaq’s log yard in Vida where they are bucked and split. The firewood is available for those in need and can be picked up or delivered to those who are elderly or unable to pick up the wood themselves.

Must reside within the McKenzie watershed.
