Overview

Description:

Farm plans can range in depth and magnitude, dependent upon your needs, goals, management style, lands, and economic feasibility. The planning process can address particular issues such as degraded production capacity of a field, soil health concerns, waterways health, forest health, and more. Farm plans can also address multi-system issues for a complete planning analysis.

Options for planning include technical information suggestions of available tools, management options, and opportunities via phone, email, or a scheduled walk-through on your farm. More intensive options can include more detailed planning analysis using field measurements and checklists to help produce technical documents for step-by-step planning.

There are also opportunities for funding support through a "cost-share" contract which helps landowners to implement different conservation practices on their farms via reimbursement payments. These cost-share opportunities can range from partial to complete coverage of costs, dependent upon the grant requirements, on an average of 75% reimbursable to the landowner up to a $100,000 cap. Funds can be used for projects such as fire restoration to combat erosion, fencing for sensitive areas, livestock watering or nutrient management facilities, and more. Each funding opportunity has particular requirements, and projects must meet specific standards to be eligible. If you are interested in any of these options or would like more information, please get in touch with us or fill out one of the forms above.

Eligibility:

None required.

Financial benefit:

Funding available for qualifying projects when funding is available (fencing, etc.).
