Overview

Description:

The Whatcom Conservation District is dedicated to helping Whatcom County farmers to overcome barriers and support local agriculture. As part of this goal we have launched an equipment share program and it currently includes a manure spreader and poultry processing equipment.

The manure spreader is delivered by WCD staff for a loan period of either Monday to Thursday, or Thursday or Monday.

WCD poultry processing equipment is available for a rental fee of $20/day, $40/weekend with a $50 refundable cleaning deposit.

Eligibility:

Must have a farmplan with Whatcom Conservation District, or a field assessment and recommended soil test prior to the use of the spreader..
Before using the manure spreader you are required to fill out the Manure Application Risk Management (ARM) worksheet.

Must process poultry for home use or in marketing with a WSDA permit.

Must fill out the Google Form for eligibility.
