Overview
Description:
In a contractual agreement with King Conservation District, forest landowners may qualify for the cost-sharing incentive program. Reimbursements of up to 75% of project cost up to allocated budget, may be awarded for stewardship projects. Must have a King Conservation Disctrict approved stewardhip plan that is less than 5 years old. Some regulatory flexibility is allowed.
Other requirements:
• 15-year practice lifetime
• Ongoing maintenance
• Continued control of invasive weeds
• Replanting if mortality occurs
• 25% cost-share (from landowner)
• Follow-up site visits from KCD throughout practice lifetime
• Annual photo submission
